Terms of business

Terms of Service

The terms a piece of work is done on. They are the ones in force on the day your order is confirmed, and that version is the one that governs it however this page changes afterwards.

last revised: 16 September 2026

The company you would be contracting with

Swift Page LTD Registered in England and Wales Company number 17460174 Registered office: 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, United Kingdom, IP28 7DE Email: contact@swiftpage.tips

The parties to these terms

binds: you and this company from: the day your order is confirmed source: SI 2015/17 regs 24-25; E-Commerce Regs 2002 reg 6

These terms are between you and Swift Page LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under number 17460174, whose registered office is 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, United Kingdom, IP28 7DE. "We" and "us" mean that company. "You" means the person or the business buying the work.

The quickest way to reach us about anything on this page is contact@swiftpage.tips . Everything about a project is settled in writing by email, which means either side can look up afterwards what was actually said.

What is sold

binds: every order from: the quotation source: this company's own description of its work

Work on the loading performance of a website you already own and control. There are three stages and they are bought separately, in this order or stopping at any point:

  1. Speed audit. Your site measured as it stands, under conditions written down, with everything that is costing time listed and ranked by what removing it would save. Set out in full on the Speed audit page .
  2. Implementing the fixes. The agreed items from the report, carried out on a copy of the site, shown to you before anything is published, and reversible afterwards. Set out in full on the Implementing the fixes page .
  3. Re-testing. The same pages measured again under the same conditions, set out beside the first reading, so the difference is a comparison rather than an assertion. Set out in full on the Re-testing page .

Nothing else is sold here. We do not design websites, write content, build new pages, run advertising campaigns, host anything or maintain a site after the work is finished. Where any of that is what a site actually needs, the reply says so rather than quoting for something adjacent.

How a contract is made

binds: you and this company from: your written acceptance source: Consumer Contracts Regs 2013 reg 13 and Schedule 2
  1. You write, or fill in the form on the Contact page, and describe the site.
  2. We reply, and if there is work worth doing we send a written quotation. It sets out what is included, what is not, what it comes to, how long it takes and how many rounds of changes it covers.
  3. You accept the quotation in writing, by email.
  4. We confirm the order back to you by email. That confirmation is the moment the contract is made, and not before. Up to then either of us may walk away owing nothing.

This website has no basket, no checkout and no account, and it takes no payments. Anything that looks like an order on it is a request for a quotation.

Price and currency

binds: every order from: the quotation source: DMCCA 2024 s.230; Consumer Contracts Regs 2013 Schedule 2

Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). The figure in a quotation is the whole of what is payable for the work described: any tax that applies is inside it, and nothing is added to it afterwards. There are no booking fees, no card surcharges and no charges for sending files.

There are no prices on this website, and that is deliberate rather than coy. What a piece of speed work costs depends on the platform, the size of the site, how much of it is in reach and what you choose to have done, and a figure printed here would be wrong for nearly every site that read it. The quotation is the price.

If the work turns out to need more than the quotation covers, we stop and tell you what and why. Nothing beyond a quotation is charged without a further quotation you have accepted in writing.

Paying

binds: every order from: the order confirmation source: this company's own terms

Payment is arranged against the order confirmation, by card or by bank transfer, using a secure payment link sent with it. The card details are handled by our payment provider, Stripe; we never see them and we never hold them. This website is not part of that: no page here takes a payment or asks for a card.

Whether payment is due before the work starts, in stages or on completion is set out in the quotation. Where an invoice is issued, the date it falls due is on it.

What is delivered, and when

binds: every order from: the order confirmation source: Consumer Contracts Regs 2013 reg 13

Everything is delivered digitally: reports as files by email or by a download link, changes as work carried out on your own site. Nothing is posted and there is nothing physical to receive.

The timescale for a particular job is in its quotation. It runs from the point at which we have what the stage needs from you - the address, the access, the approvals - and it pauses if any of that is outstanding. How delivery works in detail, what to do if something does not arrive, and how to cancel are on the Delivery & Refunds page.

Your rights if something is not right

binds: every customer from: the order confirmation source: Consumer Rights Act 2015 s.49, s.34, s.35 and s.36

Nothing on this page takes away or limits rights you have by law. In particular, the work we do for you must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, and anything digital we supply must be of satisfactory quality, must match the description we gave it and must be fit for a purpose you told us about before buying.

Where a consumer is buying, those rights come from the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and cannot be excluded. The remedies that go with them, and how to use them, are set out on the Delivery & Refunds page.

What is not promised

binds: every order from: the quotation source: this company's own terms; DMCCA 2024 Schedule 20

Speed work moves measurements. It does not decide outcomes, and nothing in a quotation, a report or a conversation should be read as offering any of the following:

  • a score. No figure out of a hundred from any tool is agreed as a target, because such a figure is a summary somebody else's tool makes of several measurements, and it moves when they change their formula;
  • a position in search results. Loading speed is one signal among many, all of them controlled by the search engine and none of them by us;
  • more sales, enquiries or sign-ups. A faster page removes one reason to leave. What happens after that depends on the offer, the price and the writing;
  • a particular figure in seconds or milliseconds. What a site can reach depends on its platform, its hosting and the third parties it loads, and the honest answer is not known until it has been measured.

What is promised instead: the measurements are taken under conditions written down, the same conditions are used for both readings, the waterfalls are kept, and the items that changed nothing appear in the report alongside the ones that did.

Rights in what is produced

binds: you and this company from: payment in full source: Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988

The report written for you is yours once the work is paid for. You may keep it, act on it yourself, or give it to anybody you like, including another supplier.

Changes made to your own site - your templates, your images, your configuration - are yours, in your repository or your account, from the moment they are made.

What stays ours is the general method, the report format and any tooling we use to take measurements; using them on your project does not transfer them. Nothing there restricts what you may do with your own site or with your own report.

We will not show your site, your figures or your name as an example of our work without your written permission.

What you have to provide, and what you must not do

binds: you from: the order confirmation source: this company's own terms

By placing an order you confirm and agree:

  • that you own the site, or are authorised by whoever does to have this work carried out on it. We take that at your word, and if it is not true the consequences are yours;
  • the access the stage needs, and notice of anybody else working on the site at the same time;
  • answers and approvals within a reasonable time, so the work does not stall mid-way;
  • that you will not ask for changes that break a licence you hold, breach the terms of a platform you use, or remove something you are required to display.

Where a request would do any of those, we will not carry it out, and the reason is written down instead.

Limits on what we are liable for

binds: you and this company from: the order confirmation source: Consumer Rights Act 2015 s.65 and s.57; Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977

What is never limited

Nothing here excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited by law. Where you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything in this clause.

What is limited

Subject to the paragraph above, our total liability arising out of a piece of work is limited to the amount paid for that work. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of anticipated savings or loss of business opportunity, and we are not liable for a result a page was not promised: a score, a search position or a level of sales.

What sits with you

Keeping your own independent backups, and the acts of third parties we do not control - hosting, platforms, plugins, payment providers, the search engines - sit with you. We take a backup before we change anything and we hand it over at the end, but it is taken for the purposes of this work and it is not a substitute for a backup arrangement of your own.

Ending it

binds: you and this company from: the order confirmation source: Consumer Contracts Regs 2013 regs 29-30; this company's own terms

You may cancel under the rules on the Delivery & Refunds page, which include a statutory right to cancel within fourteen days where you are a consumer.

Beyond that, either of us may end an agreement by writing if the other breaks it seriously and does not put it right after being asked, or stops being able to pay its debts. We may also stop work if what is being asked for would break a licence, a platform's terms or the law, and in that case you pay for what has been done up to that point and nothing further.

When an agreement ends for any reason, we hand over the backup, the previous versions of any file we altered and any report already written, and we delete the access details you gave us.

Complaining

binds: every customer from: the moment something goes wrong source: this company's own terms

Write to contact@swiftpage.tips , and say what happened and what you would like done. We acknowledge a complaint within 3 working days and answer it in full within 14 days. If the answer is going to take longer than that, you are told why and when to expect it.

If we cannot settle it between us, a consumer may take a dispute to court in the usual way, and nothing here requires you to use any other process first.

Changes to these terms

binds: this page from: 16 September 2026 source: Consumer Rights Act 2015 Schedule 2

The version of these terms in force on the day your order is confirmed is the version that governs it. Changing this page later does not change an agreement already made: if something about a piece of work under way has to change, it changes by agreement in writing, not by an edit here.

The date of the last revision is at the head of this page.

Which law applies

binds: you and this company from: the order confirmation source: Rome I Regulation Art 6; Consumer Rights Act 2015

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in the courts where you live, and this clause does not take away the protection of the law of the country you live in where that law gives you more.
